12/19/25 - I added new blog posts and a 1-Year Bible Reading Plan. I also added links to all my comic book reviews.

12/28/25 - I added a new blog post! I also added many new cat photos and videos to the "CATS" page.

12/26/25 - Merry Christmas!!! Over the past week, I made updates to the layout and content, including adding a page with a lot of cat pics! Go check it out!

12/14/25 - New blog post! Go check out the "babble" page. I also added new match videos to the "Pew Pew" page.

12/13/25 - Another set of updates took place this week! For new content, I added a new cat video and a gun video, plus a few more pics to the Random Cat Photo generator. I also updated the theme and look of the site. For old content, I added more of my old blog posts. Still have a long way to go to get everything in here. 12/7/25 - This past week I added a lot of content to the website and messed around with the theme. I've added my old blog posts dating back to 2019, but have a couple more years to find and transfer. The more I work on this site, the more I enjoy it.

12/3/25 - Just a quick update... I've been moving my blog posts and adding material to the site this past week. Still have a long way to go. Check back every day for new content! You may have to clear your cache to load new content.

11/24/25 - I moved away from Wordpress and went back to writing old-fashioned HTML! Eternally grateful for Sadgrl's layout builder which was used to develop this template.

4/22 - My poster “Physics of flatulence” won the Best Paper Award in Animal Bioacoustics at the Acoustical Society of America!

3/22 - A book I reviewed was published! Check out Plesha, Gray, & Constanzo’s “Engineering Mechanics” (3rd ed).

3/22 - I presented a talk on earwax at the Physics of Living Systems Lunch and Learn organized by the Georgia Tech School of Physics.

2/22 - I was nominated by my department and selected by my school (along with 6 other faculty) to represent REDACTED at the upcoming Teaching Professor Conference in Atlanta.

12/21 - I presented a poster titled “Physics of flatulence” at the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) annual meeting in Seattle, WA.

10/21 - REDACTED and I traveled to Bangor, ME to present a poster titled “Earwax deters crawling insects and aids in self-cleaning” at the annual meeting of the Society of Rheology (SoR).

8/21 - I accepted a position as Lecturer for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at REDACTED. Among my new duties, I will be the faculty advisor for the ASCE Student Chapter.

7/21 - I gave an informal talk on my research at Georgia Tech titled “Mammal Biofluids and their Functions”

7/21 - I presented my research at the Great Minds in STEM (GMiS) Early Career Faculty Symposium. My talk was titled “Function of Biofluids in Mammal Orifices”.

7/21 - We presented a workshop on water treatment plants for an invited talk at the Jornadas Académicas Virtuales del Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles de Oruro (CICO). Our talk was titled “Plantas de Tratamiento de Agua: El Caso de la Planta de Tratamiento de Cunningham”.

6/21 - I was one of the 11 fellows selected for the Graduate Teaching Fellowship offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning at Georgia Tech!

3/21 - I was awarded a grant for Affordable Learning Georgia to develop a math course for engineering students.

3/21 - I passed my PhD Qualifying Exams! My topics were fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.

1/21 - I was one of the 11 recipients of the BOLD Graduate Fellowship offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning at Georgia Tech!

8/20 - I joined the Hu Lab for Biolocomotion at Georgia Tech, where I will pursue a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.

1/20 - I accepted a position as Instructor for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at REDACTED.

9/19 - I volunteered for the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival at Emory University.

8/19 - I joined REDACTED as a part time math teacher.

7/19 - I was one of the 27 educators from around the world selected to attend the Religious Literacy Summer Institute for Educators at Harvard University.

11/18 - I gave a guest lecture at the University of North Georgia. My seminar was titled “Improving stormwater quality with Best Management Practices”

7/18 - I joined REDACTED as an Adjunct Instructor of World Religions.

1/18 - I have decided to start my consulting business in water resources engineering.

1/17/18 - I got selected for the Google Developer Challenge Scholarship offered by Udacity & the Grow with Google program!

12/27/17 - Website is now live.

1/19/15 - Up until a few days ago, I’ve managed to post material almost continuously, be it Movie Reviews, Comic Strips, or News Articles. The reason for the sudden halt is because I recently moved, and I’m still settling in, as well as I just started a Master’s degree last week and will start a second one this week (on two completely unrelated subjects). In a few more days, I will start posting regularly again, and additional to my current types of posts, I will include new categories in the hopes of keeping you, the reader, interested. Don’t forget to send me a message with post requests, questions, or if you want to help me write my comic.

12/24/14 - Welcome to my blog! A blog with no topic and no purpose… yet. As I write this I’m still trying to decide what I’ll write or post about. So, for now, enjoy a movie, look at the sky through a telescope, drink some hot cocoa. Soon, I’ll be posting some of my music, comics, or whatever I have time to come up with.

Well, I got inspired while working on the music section. I added 2 new mp3 downloads, 2 new original songs and a new unheard version of the Sbow track: "Rambo". 4/7/07 - The Apple 3 trailer!

Finally! The real trailer for the Apple 3 has been released. Hope you like what's in it and if you do then you'll surely like the movie!

4/4/07 - The Apple 3 is filmed!

Hey, y'all!! See? I told ya I'd start making good updates. Well, the Apple 3 has been filmed yesterday! Here are some screenshots of the film! (2025 update: the images have been lost)

A teaser for the film will be released tomorrow and a trailer should come sometime this week! So, expect the film to be here soon!

Anyways, on comic business, I added Run Off #31-38 (including a random, Halloween and Thanksgiving episodes) remember those comics are made by lordevil and belong to Evil Chicken Productions and are posted here with permission.

4/2/07 - I'm Back!!

Yoooooo duuudees!!! Guess what? I'm back!! I'm going to start updating and editing this website again! You'll start seeing some new updates pretty soon! First of all: last March 25th, Empty Cross celebrated it's first anniversary! Woo one year of Empty Cross (and 3 months of inactivity) have paid off. Well since I just started what Americans would call "Spring Break" I wanted to fill you in on what's happened.

First off on the Movies business, "There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom" continues production (believe it or not). lol we've filmed a bit here and there of the movie and you can expect a 2nd teaser in about a month or so. 2 new short films have been announced: "The Apple 3" and "Working for Mr. Smith" meaning we're back on filming random funny films again! The Apple 3 is scheduled to be filmed tomorrow (and a teaser should be ready by Wednesday) and Working for Mr. Smith will be filmed sometime this month! Also I wanted to tell you guys that I'm going to start deleting the movies from YouTube.com, but don't worry, you can still download them (obviously for free). For dial-up users I released low res version of most of the movies and most of the movies dont even reach 10MB, so downloading shouldn't take long ('xept on some overly-huge files). I'm changing the movies pages a bit and working on the entire page so things might seem a bit glitchy but pretty soon I'll be back on track!!

1/5/07 - New Dead Guy screenshots

Hello. I have good news and bad news! On the bright side. Last Wednesday we filmed 3 new scenes for "There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom", so I added 3 new screenshots.

Hope you like them.

On the bad news one of the main characters/crew members is moving away so a lot of scenes will have to be modified/removed from the movie. Still, I managed to film some stuff before he moved!

1/1/07 - Happy New Year

Well, this is the first update in 2007! Happy New Year everyone! Just wanted to say I'm sorry for the lack of updates (still focused on music), but as a new year's resolution, I decided to update this site more frequently (I'm not sure the daily updates will return but the weekly updates may return)

12/18/06 - Christmas is Coming

Yay! Winter has arrived! Meaning winter vacation is her too! Meaning I'll be filming a LOT of "Dead Guy"! We've also gotten more people involved in this film!

Well, after 3 months I added a brand new pic!

Sorry I haven't updated the site recently (I know most of you were expecting a huge update) but I've been working and focusing more on my music (you can check out my Myspace Profile, I have a few videos there). But don't worry. I'll start again with the weekly updates bringing you more stuff!

11/25/06 - More Screenshots (again)

Oh right. There's also word that one of the characters from our other films may make a cameo here Ź_Ź but I didn't promise anything.

11/21/06 - More Screenshots

During the past weeks we filmed more scenes for "There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom".

also, I changed the movie resolution to 16:9 Widescreen. Here are the first 6 widescreen shots. (2025 update: these images have been lost)

I know I haven't updated the other site sections but I'll try my best to do so (hey, I have a life too, you know).

11/4/06 - More Stills, 15 new comics, new affiliate!

Today was Day 3 if Production for "There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom". We filmed more of the movie today. Here are the screenshots: (2025 update: these images have been lost)

Today I had to be given the swirly (in the movie) for the second time. Don't worry, that's a scene you will enjoy.

I haven't added a single comic in a month (again). So I decided that when I add comics, I'm gonna add them by big numbers. So I added Sonic: The Comic #101-115.

We also have a new affiliate: Chaos Zone TB. Check it out. The site pretty much rocks and the comics are awesome!

10/28/06 - New Stuff!!!

Hey! There's a new comment on "Por el DS" and another one for "Kuro's Plan". We're starting to get some views again!

Also, official production for "There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom" has re-started! We filmed Saturday and Sunday and there are 6 new screenshots!

Last Sunday I also filmed and released a clip showing one of my friends doing the bicycle kick with a soccer ball. Check out the clip!

10/8/06 - Still no capture Card

Still no capture card. I rewrote "Dead Guy" and I'll keep on filming more scenes. The movie will be very long, I assure you.

Well, it's been a month without comic updates, so I'll give you one:

Sonic the Hedgehog: A Thirst for Revenge #2 by Neoman. Sorry, its only one comic but hey, updating the page takes a lot of my time.

I added a new section to the "Other" page called "Audio Plays".

The about page received some minor updating (it's about time).

As if that wasn't enough I added 2 new links.

The forum got a new mod and a new board called "Flash Movies". I also added a shout box made by GAMEchief from the ProBoards support forum (special thanks to DarkLordXxDIEx for the link).

10/1/06 - "Dead Guy" re-filmed!

Yesterday I re-filmed "There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom" completely. We filmed 7 hours straight. but sine my capture card is broken (which is the one venacristo.com uses) I haven't been able to pass it to the computer to edit it. I don't know when I'll get a new capture card but as soon as I get it I'll start post production of the movie (along with screenshots and stuff).

9/29/06 - Capture Card Broken

"There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom" will filmed this Saturday September 30th; but since the capture card is broken, it may take a while for me to transfer it to my computer.

On the bright side, last Tuesday I filmed the first part of a short in my school. It's more of an "inside-joke" short, but I think you'll like it.

Pre-production for "Star Wars: Broken Brotherhood" continues and has had some progress with the script, costumes and props.

Special Effects for "Rubén vs. David" has been cancelled. Instead, we will make "Rubén vs. David II", this short movie will have effects, it will be 3 times longer than the first and the fight will be better choreographed.

A new movie was added to the "Movie Vault". It's the New Numa. It was added to this site with permission from Gary, but this is obviously not the official site.

9/15/06 - Vidben 7

My cousin and I started a band called Vidben 7. Currently it's just him and me (and the drummer, but he won't be around much because of university).

Otherwise, "The Big Project, part 3" starts filming tomorrow along with "The Bolivian". And we have a new member in our crew: Sam! He'll be playing the "Dead Guy" in "There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom" and it's sequels.

9/9/06 - Dead Guy delayed

Due to a big inconvenience last Monday, we couldn't film the remaining scenes of "There's a Dead Guy in my Bathroom" and the whole movie will have to be re-filmed. We rescheduled filming to Saturday September 30. Also, I started re-writing the script of "Broken Brotherhood" meaning this movie has officially started pre-production.

I updated the Movie Vault with a new movie and I added the new shorts to the page.

I reorganized the movie pages a bit. And I added pictures to most of the members on the Cast & Crew page.

Oh and in other good news, the Special Effects work with "Rubén vs. David" has officially started. Check out these 2 screenshots of the effects: (2025 update: I lost these screenshots but I will add them if I find them)

Well, after weeks without a new comic added to the site, I finally made a new Zonic and his Crew comic!! I also added episodes 91-100 of Sonic: The Comic. Enjoy!

I added a new pic to the pics section (it's the Steve Irwin image I made) and I updated the about page.

3/27/05- Well, spring break is over. Now I have to go back to the infernal dump that is my school. But, on the bright side: There is a new background to this page. And I added new links.

2/27/05- I added 9 new hand-drawn pics!!!

2/25/05- I added a marquee message composed only of images, and I added info to the About the Author section. And a new page: SPRITE SHEETS + 3 sprite sheets!

2/20/05- I changed a few animations and deleted the Info page. I added a background image and a new animation to Contact Us!!! And a new webpole.. Please vote

2/17/05- I made a lot of updates today. First off, I drew a logo for the site (It's not that great but at least we have a logo). I changed the name Pix to Pics. I added 2 new pics from a Fairly Odd Parents calendar. I changed the name Linx to Links. I fixed the Gamma Comix link. I made a new page called About the Author, and 2 new midis: Sonic Heroes Main Theme and Halo MAin Theme. I also added a webform.

2/13/05- I added a new poll!!! But I still havent had the time (or the enthusiasm) to do my sprite comix. To look on the bright side... I added a new Link and descriptions and ratings to the Links!!

2/12/05- Since I am working on the Alliance main page, I haven't had the time to make my sprite comics. But I added links and info. And a new pic: "Predator's Mask"; I ripped it off from the AVP cover. And new cool animations.Valentine's day is coming!!!

2/10/05- I made a homepage! Most of the pages aren't finished.
