Reading journal #3: Labyrinth of Evil and reading plans

I've been sick the past few days, which makes my work go slower. On the bright side, I've spent more time in my room and used it to read more than usual!

Labyrinth of Evil

So, I finished reading Star Wars: Labyrinth of evil! The novel was very well written, and I'm glad I chose it as my re-entry point into the Star Wars Expanded Universe. This novel is the perfect prequel to Revenge of the Sith, and gives enough background and context to help you see the movie in a new light. I'm going to collect my thoughts in the next few days and write a review. I'm still deciding if I'll post my review here or in my comic book review website. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know.

Future Reading Plans

Now that I'm done with Labyrinth of Evil, the next book in line is Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover. From there, I'll follow with Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader to complete the so-called "Dark Lord Trilogy." These three books will serve as my re-introduction to the Star Wars Expanded Universe. After these, I plan to read the Jedi Prince series, the Thrawn Trilogy, and Kenobi, in that order.

As for comics, I am focusing on Spider-Man's first years with the Amazing Spider-Man Omnibus vol. 1. From there, I will either continue with Vol. 2, or read the Untold Tales of Spider-Man. I'll decide when I get there! As for DC, I am putting a pause on my Teen Titans reading because I just got my copy of Batman by Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale Omnibus! Even though I've read most of Loeb & Sale's Batman, the stories are so good that they are worth rereading, and more so in oversized format!

Okay, that's all for now. Next time I'll try to have more substantive content.

Signing off as I watch "Spaceballs."
